Biographical History

Coons (Harvard, M.D. 1937) taught bacteriology and immunology at Harvard Medical School from 1953 to 1978. His scientific interest centered on the formation of antibody and particularly the morphological changes associated with it; he is best known for the development of the flourescent antibody method.
