Biographical History

Philip Campbell Wehle (b. Sept. 5, 1906, Westport, Conn.-d. Sept. 20, 1978), U.S. Army officer, served as the commanding general, Military District of Washington from 1962 to 1965. He helped plan three state funerals within one year: John F. Kennedy, Herbert Hoover, Douglas MacArthur.
