Richard C. McCormick (1832-1901), politician and journalist, was appointed Secretary of the Arizona Territory im March 1863.
Second territorial governor of Arizona; McCormick produced the first issue of the "Arizona Miner" newspaper and later founded the "Arizona Citizen" newspaper in Tucson.
