Biographical History
Writer of novels and short stories born in Louisiana.
Lake Charles born author of short stories and novels. Educated at Christian Brothers Catholic school in Lafayette and McNeese State College in Lake Charles. Spent five years in the Marine Corps where he gathered material for his first novel, The Lieutenant. Spent two years with the Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa where he received a M.F.A. degree in 1965. Taught at Bradford College in Bradford, Massachusetts, from 1966-1984. Second novel entitled Voices from the Moon. First non-fiction book entitled Broken Vessels. Has received numerous writing awards for short stories, his primary form of fiction writing.
