Biographical History

Eleanor Percy Lee (nee Ware) was a poet and novelist of Natchez, Mississippi. Her sister, Catharine Ann Warfield (1816-1877), her father, Nathaniel Ware, and her daughter, Kate Lee Ferguson (b. 1841), were also authors. Nathaniel Ware was a public official in Natchez.
