Biographical History
Fraser Neiman (1911-1993) was the son of Dr. Levi Neiman (of Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Nina (Fraser) Neiman. He was educated at Amherst College and Trinity College, Cambridge University, England, and he received his Ph.D. in English at Harvard University. In 1938, he began teaching at the College of William and Mary. During World War II, he was attached to the 44th Infantry Division as an intelligence officer in charge of an interrogation unit. In 1950, he married Stella Frances Duff, with whom he had two children.
