Palmer, Bettie, b. 1836.

Very little biographical information on Bettie Palmer could be located. Handwritten notes by Rebecca Wheeler on the back of the letter give some data. Minnesota Biographies contains a short sketch of Bettie's husband, Judge Edward C. Palmer. He was also located in the 1857 census (St. Paul, first ward, p. 178), in the 1870 census (St. Paul, first ward, p. 973), and in the 1863 St. Paul City Directory. The 1870 census lists the following children: Charles (12), Carrie (2), and Edward (3 months), all born in Minnesota. No information on Bettie was found in any of the sources.
