Biographical History

Promoted historic preservation in Delaware with the major emphasis placed on New Castle, where the society restored the Old Dutch House which it purchased in 1937 and deeded to the New Castle Historical Society in 1946; also published New Castle, Delaware, 1651-1939 by Bayard Wootten and Anthony Higgins; disbanded in 1948.
