Over the years Clint Peoples has dedicated himself to honesty and efficiency in police work.
Clint Peoples was born August 25, 1910 in Bridgeport, Texas, the son of William Thomas (Tom) and Susie Baugh Peoples. The Peoples family settled in Conroe, Texas in 1926. After graduating from Conroe High School in 1928 Clint Peoples supported himself by aiding the various family enterprises, but his true ambition was law enforcement.
Highly influenced by Sheriff Ben Hicks, Peoples began his life long occupation. Sheriff Hicks allowed Peoples to follow him as an observer. When a job came open in the Sheriff's office Clint begged his father to let him apply. Tom Peoples was not overtly excited about his son's choice but Clint was determined. With the promise of doing his best and reaching the top, which meant Ranger Captain, Clint received his father's approval. Clint Peoples became a Deputy Sheriff at the age of 20.
Through hard work and dedication Clint Peoples moved through his career with distinction and honor. He holds advanced certificates from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Law Enforcement Academy and was also an instructor. He has the respect and appreciation from his co-workers and the legislators of Texas. His career is his life, with the only other major influence being his wife, Donna Henderson Peoples, his daughter, Donna Jean Peoples McClendon, and the Baptist Churches the family belonged to over the years. Clint Peoples is an excellent example of what it takes to make a career of law enforcement.
