Fahlstrom, Stanley, 1901-

Born October 2, 1901, Chicago, IL. Medical Doctor, Educator. Stanley Fahlstrom, M.D., received his B.S. and M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1923 and 1925, respectively. He joined the Loyola University School of Medicine in 1929 as an instructor in medicine and remained there until 1970 when he reitred at the rank of Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine. From 1943 to 1946 Dr. Fahlstrom served as a Colonel in the Medical Corps of the United States Army, where he was the Chief of the Medical Service for the 108th General Hospital, Loyola University School of Medicine's affiliated unit. Fahlstrom was with the 108th as they moved from New Orleans to Great Britain and finally to Paris, France, where they were assigned to L'Hopital Beaujon. As Chief of the Medical Service for the 108th, Dr. Fahlstrom was responsible for the medical admissions to the hospital; the assignment, supervision, and training of subordinate officers; and post-war refresher training of combat medical offiers.
