Biographical History

Sir Edmund was called to the Bar in 1871, and was first elected to the New South Wales Parliament in 1879. He was the leader of the Federation Movement in New South Wales and was the first Prime Minister of the Commonwealth. From 1903 until his death he was a Justice of the High Court.
