Biographical History

Shaaron Cosner was born in New Mexico in 1940. Most of her work consists of science-oriented nonfiction for children.

Shaaron Cosner grew up as an Air Force brat, traveling to Germany, the Philippines, and Italy as well as many of the states in America. She earned a B.A. in English from Arizona State University in 1965 and an M.A. in English in 1978. She began freelance writing in 1974 and since that time has sold over 100 magazine articles and eight books. Mrs. Cosner has lived in Tempe, Arizona for the past 30 years and has two children and three grandchildren. She is currently teaching at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe.

Ron Cosner grew up in Charleroi, Pennsylvania and was recruited by Frank Kush to come to Arizona State University in 1958. After playing football for four years, Mr. Cosner earned a B.A. in Business in 1963 and an M.A. in Business Education in 1965. Mr. Cosner has been teaching in the Tempe Union High School District for over 25 years.
