Biographical History
William Taliaferro Livingston settled in Macon County, Alabama, around 1850. His son, James Cooper Livingston, married Stella Elizabeth Burks in 1886. They farmed, and operated a general store in Notasulga, Alabama, where they raised seven children. All five sons served during World War I. James Edwin Livingston was an attorney and served as an associate justice (1940-1951) amd as Chief Justice (1951-1971) of the Alabama Supreme Court. Julian Frances (Frank) Livingston was a lawyer in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
