Biographical History
Edwin Collins Frost (1867-1956) received an A.B. in 1890 and an A.M. in 1897 from Brown University. He was an assistant in rhetoric at Brown from 1895 to 1896 and later an instructor of rhetoric from 1896 to 1898. Frost was the cataloguer of Marsden J. Perry's Shakespeare Collection from 1901 to 1907, and was known as a traveler and an author.
William Henry Frost (1863-1902), brother of Edwin Collins Frost, received an A.B. from Brown in 1886. He joined the New York Tribune staff in 1887 as a general reporter and in 1889 became the dramatic news reporter. He received an A.M. from Brown in 1889. He was the author of four books for children (illustrated by Sidney R. Burleigh of Providence, RI), The Wagner Story Book (1894), The Court of King Arthur (1896), The Knights of the Round Table (1897), and Fairies and Folk Ireland . He died of unsuspected diabetes, aged 39 years.
