Biographical History
Author. Wilson wrote a number of novels, short stories, radio scripts and articles. Her published works include "The mulga tree" (1980), "Cyclone coasts : Australia's north-west frontier" (1980) and "The house at Hardie's corner" (1984).
WA author. Born in Tasmania but lived for most of her life in Western Australia and was educated at Perth Modern School and at the University of Western Australia. A successful writer for many years, writing novels, short stories, and radio script,s as well as contributing numerous historical articles to newspapers and magazines. In 1980 awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to literature in Australia.
W.A. author. Wrote novels, short stories and Australiana under her own name, as well as the pseudonym Helga Mayne.
