University of Texas System. Board of Regents

The University of Texas at Arlington became part of the system in 1965.

The government of UT Arlington, which became part of the UT system in 1965, is vested in a nine-member Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, selected from different portions of the state, nominated by the Governor, and approved by the Senate. The Chancellor is the chief administrative officer of The University of Texas System; his office is located in Austin. The Chief administrative officer for the operations of UT Arlington is the University President, under the authority of the Chancellor of the UT system and the Board of Regents.
