Biographical History

The Royal Hippodrome in Belfast opened in 1907 and was demolished in 1996. The Theatre Royal Hippodrome in Dublin was the second Theatre Royal built on the same site in Hawkins Street; this one opened in 1897. The name was changed to Theatre Royal Hippodrome during its variety years, and was demolished in 1934. The Winter Gardens was a building next door to the Hippodrome. These bills were sent to Harry Houdini by an unidentified person.
