Biographical History

Doris Chadwick, a teacher was a friend of Kylie Tennant and her husband L.C. Rodd. When she began to lose her sight, she was transferred to the Correspondence School of N.S.W. Dept. of Education and then in 1926 she joined the staff of the school magazine, later becoming editor. She left the Dept. of Education in 1960 and died in 1980. She was the author of several children's books including "John of the Sirius" and "John of Sydney Cove".
