Biographical History

Thomas Quinton Donaldson (b. June 26, 1864, Greenville, S.C.-d. Oct. 26, 1934, Long Island, N.Y.), also known as Thomas Quinton Donaldson, U.S. Army officer and a West Point graduate (1887), took part in Indian fighting with the Seventh Cavalry, served in Cuba during the war with Spain, and was with the Eighth Cavalry in the Philippines for two tours of duty. During World War I, General Donaldson was Assistant Inspector General stationed in New York and later traveled to France as Inspector General of the Service of Supply headquartered in Tours. He retired from Army service in 1928.
