Biographical History
I.M. Simmons attended a series of lectures on Australian literature presented by H.M. Green in 1944. She was employed in a printing works and wrote a number of short stories, including "The Bedspread", which was later published in "Ern Malley's Journal". In 1978 a film of "The Bedspread" was made, sponsored by the Australian Film Commission.
