Biographical History
Corneille McCarn was the daughter of Jefferson McCarn, at one time the U.S. Attorney General of the Philippines. She was a close friend of John Crowe Ransom's sister Ellene and was Ransom's student at Vanderbilt University. She married Warren Rucker. McCarn wrote poetry but had little success in having her work published.
