Biographical History

Charles Randall Hart, educator and author, was born 20 September 1891 in Rochester New York, and died 24 January 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was educated at Williams College (M.A., 1916) and Johns Hopkins (Ph.D., 1927), and taught romance languages and classics at Lafayette College (1919-1920), Reed College (1927-1928), and Emory University (1928-1960). He also served with the Foyer du Soldat in the French Army (1917-1919) and wrote a drama-in-verse about Samuel Johnson.
