He married Barbara Morgan on December 25, 1853, in Tooele, Tooele County, Utah. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to England from 1874 to 1876. He passed away on August 29, 1905, in Wellsville, Cache County, Utah.
