Biographical History

May Ashmore Thropp Hill (Cornell University Class of 1920, LL. B. 1922) was an attorney and a New Jersey Assemblywoman from Mercer County. She served three terms in the assembly, from 1924-1927, during which she was a member of the Joint Appropriations Committee and a commission investigating women's working conditions in New Jersey. She was involved with the Child Labor Amendment, the Birth Control Bill, and the founding of Washington Crossing, New Jersey, Memorial Park.
