Biographical History

Founder and president of the Korean Affairs Institute, Washington, DC, 1943-1975, a lobbying organization dedicated to the reunification of Korea.

He was born in Keum San, North Chulla province, Korea; moved to the U.S. in 1917; studied at Harvard, Southern California, Columbia, and George Washington Universities; fought from 1938 to 1945 against Japanese rule in Korea; and later was a crusader for the reunification of North and South Korea.
