Biographical History

Henry De Pree graduated from Hope College in 1902 and from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1905. After briefly holding a pastorate in Iowa, he travelled to China as a missionary for the Reformed Church in America. While in China he was a professor and president of South Fukien Theological Seminary and wrote a textbook for the study of the Amoy dialect of the Chinese language.
