American author and historian.
Robert A. Murray, a historian, worked for the National Park Service (1958-1968) at Custer Battlefield National Monument (renamed as Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in 1991), Fort Laramie National Historic Site, and Pipestone National Monument. In 1968, he founded Western Interpretive Services, a consulting firm specializing in intrerpretive services and historical research. His research interests include Western military posts, 19th century firearms, Indian Wars, Plains Indian life and customs, and the fur trade.
