Rose Galek Brunswic was born in Sochocin, Poland. She is a survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto. She escaped when the ghetto was liquidated and was cared for by a member of the Polish underground. She was liberated by the Americans and worked in a displaced persons camp in Stuttgart, Germany after the war. At the camp, she met her husband who worked for UNNRA. She emigrated to the United States in 1946 and currently resides in Falls Church, Virginia.
