Biographical History

William Dreier advocated an active and involved lifestyle for senior citizens and retirees. He served as the activities director at the Mayflower Home, a retirement home in Grinnell, Iowa from 1959 to 1962; the Iowa director of Senior Citizens of America; a delegate to the 1960 White House Conference on Aging; and a member of the Poweshiek County Senior Citizens Committee. He was also involved with various Christian organizations and activities including the Iowa Christian Rural Fellowship, the Iowa Baptist Convention's Senior Adult Camp, and the Congregational Christian Church. He was a member of the United Nations Association of the USA, the National Planning Association, the International Association of Retired Secretaries of the YMCA and was involved with the establishment of the Iowa Falls Baptist Home.
