Harvey Joshua Levin was a Professor of Economics (1955-1964), Chairman of the Economics Department (1961-1964), Augustus B. Weller Professor of Economics (1964-1986), Special Professor of Law (1975-), Director of the Public Policy Workshop (1975-), and University Research Professor (1989-1992) at Hofstra. He was an economic consultant and scholar on issues of media broadcast regulations, active in community events dealing with communication regulations, and also held adjunct faculty positions at Columbia University.
Harvey Joshua levin was born in 1924 in New York City. He was a noted economist, author and activist. He joined Hofstra in 1955 as an Economics Professor.
