Ernestine Hill (nee Hemmings) was an Australian author and journalist. Her publications include "Water into Gold", "My Love Must Wait" and "The Great Australian Loneliness".
Ernestine Hill was born in 1899 in Rockhampton and worked briefly as a Public Servant. She travelled extensively across Australia and works including "Flying Doctor Calling", "Water into Gold", "The Territory", "My Love Must Wait" and "Kabbarli" resulted from these. She was commissioner for ABC from 1942-1944.
