Henry Cline, English surgeon.
Henry Cline was born in 1750 and apprenticed at age 17 to Thomas Smith at St. Thomas's Hospital in London. He was appointed lecturer in anatomy in 1781, taking the place of Joseph Else. He was greatly influenced by the lectures of Hunter and uses his cases frequently in this lecture series. He was known to be a cautious and successful surgeon and an excellent lecturer.
