Biographical History
Born 1918 and raised in Thomasville, Alabama, graduated from Huntingdon College in 1939. Worked as a reporter for the "Alabama Journal" (1940-1942) and the "Birmingham News" (1944-1946) before marrying Amasa Benjamin Tucker. After his death in 1956, she worked for the "Selma Times-Journal," 1960-1973. Published her first book of ghost stories, "Thirteen Alabama Ghosts and Jeffrey, " in 1969. Also published books of ghost stories from Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee, and books on local and Alabama history.
