Sir Christopher Willoughby (1748-1808), 1st Baronet, of Baldon, Oxfordshire, was born in November 1748, and baptised at St Stephen's, Bristol. He was the son and heir of Christopher Willoughby, a merchant of Berwick Lodge, Gloucester, and of Bristol, and his wife Rebecca, daughter of James Fisher of Somerton, Somerset. Willoughby was created Doctor of Civil Law of Oxford University in 1788, and baronet in 1794. He died on 5 April 1808, and was succeeded by his son, Christopher William Willoughby.
