Biographical History

Ludwig Landshoff, German musicologist and conductor, studied music in Munich and Berlin, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Munich in 1901. He established concerts at which early music was played on contemporary instruments.

Landshoff went to Paris in 1933 and to New York in 1939.
