Charles Knox Robinson (1910-1980) was a playwright and screenwriter who often wrote with Kenyon Nicholson.
Charles Robinson was born the 25th of June, 1931, in Morristown, NJ. His alma maters include the Milton Academy, Harvard University and the University of Virginia, receiving his LLB in 1958. His switch from law to illustration happened in 1968 and went on to illustrate over forty-three books between 1968 and 1973, an exceptional amount in such a brief period. Robinson was nominated for a Caldecott Medal of American Library Association in 1972 for his book, The Dead Tree.Biographical source: Something About the Author. Volume 6, 1974.
