Biographical History
Eric F. Hyde established his mechanical engineering practice in the late 1920s, specializing in heating and cooling systems. Hyde worked with prominent architects on residential and commercial buildings throughout Michigan, including his father, Detroit based architect Arthur Hyde. By the late 1940s, Hyde had partnered with mechanical engineer Joseph S. Bobbio and the practice was changed from Eric F. Hyde, Mechanical Engineer to Hyde & Bobbio, Inc. The practice remained active well into the late 1960s.
