Emily Faithfull was the youngest daughter of the Reverend Ferdinand Faithfull of Surrey. She was a feminist and printer, founding Victoria Press in 1860. Shortly after she became printer and publisher in ordinary to Queen Victoria. She She was a member of the Society for Promoting the Employment of Women and worked throughout her life for greater employment opportunities for women.
