American traveler and author of books for boys.
Thomas Wallace Knox was born in Pembroke, NH on June 26, 1835. He founded an academy at Kingston, NY but left in 1860 in search of gold. He was a war correspondent for several newspapers, a traveler and the writer of books for boys. He died January 1896.
