Biographical History
Nina Ebb was born in Czechoslovakia in the mid-1920s. During the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, she was sent to Terezin concentration camp. Following the war, she emigrated to the United States. She currently lives in Connecticut.
Nina Zdenka Ebb (b. Zdenka Goldscheiderová) arrived in Terezin (Theresienstadt) concentration camp in Feb 1942 from Plzen, Czechoslovakia. She worked in the Zentralevidenz- Familienkarte" (The Central Registry) for the duration of World War II. Her mother, Emma Goldscheiderová Fuchs headed the Raumwirtschaft - Ubikationskanzlei (Housing Section), first in the Hamburger Kaserne, then in the Dresdner Kaerne and finally in the Magdeburger Kaserne as head of the Raumwirtschaft. Nina's father and brother also worked in Terezin, but both were deported to Auschwitz where they died. Emma Goldscheiderová Fuchs died in 1993.
