Diana Forbes-Robertson (1915-1987), was the daughter of the actors Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson and Lady Gertrude Forbes-Robertson, as well as the niece of actress Maxine Elliot, about whom she wrote MY AUNT MAXINE.

In 1935, Diana married the journalist and author Vincent Sheean (1899-1975), whose autobiography PERSONAL HISTORY was published that year.
