United States Attorney-General.
Charles Lee was born in 1758. He was brother of Richard Bland Lee and Henry "Light-horse Harry" Lee. A.B. degree from College of New Jersey. Collector of port of Alexandria, Va. Admitted to bar. Served in Virginia General Assembly. Attorney-general of the United States, 1795-1801. Died in Fauquier Co., Va. in 1815.

Lee was a Princeton graduate (1775), served in the General Assembly of Virginia and was the U.S. Attorney General, 1795-1801.
Lee (1758-1815) was the second son of Henry Lee (1729-1787) and Lucy Grymes Lee. He attended the College of New Jersey [Princeton], 1770-1775, was admitted to the bar in Virginia in 1781 and in Philadelphia in 1794, and was attorney general under Washington and Adams, 1795-1801.
