Biographical History

Lucille Peterson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Peterson of Harcourt, Webster County, Iowa. She, along with her sister Evelyn, was a charter member of the Lost Grove Leaders 4-H Girls' Club which was organized in April 1927. Lucille was an active member in her local club holding various offices including club vice president and president. She was elected Webster County 4-H Club president as well. Lucille completed a number of 4-H projects in canning, baking, clothing, and home furnishing, attended several state conventions and banquets, and wrote a number of news articles about 4-H activities for the local paper.
