Biographical History

Mildred was the daughter of Ethyl and Dr. Edward A. Ward, an ostepathic physician. She had a sister, Janice. The family lived at 802 Irving St., Saginaw (Mich.). Mildred was in first grade in 1925 and should have graduated in 1937, but there is no documentation in the scrapbooks that she graduated. Mildred and Janice attended public schools, including North Intermediate School and Arthur Hill High School. The sisters were both active in school events and organizations. The family traveled to Washington (D.C.), N.Y. (N.Y.), New England, and Canada, July 9-Aug. 2, 1936. Dr. Ward was a member of the State Board of Osteopathic Registraton, the American Ostoeopathic Association, and a Mason. (Information from the collection.).
