James Roosevelt (1907-1991), businessman and politician, was the son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt. He served as a congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives from the 26th California district from 1955 to 1966.
Eldest son of Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt.
James served as Franklin D. Roosevelt's secretary, 1937-1938, joined the Marine Corps during World War II, and was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from California, 1955-1965.
