Biographical History
The Synod of Arkansas was erected as an Old School synod in 1852 by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. It joined the Presbyterian Church in the Confederate States of America in 1861 and was continued by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. in 1865. It merged with the Synod of Oklahoma in 1968 to form the Synod of Arkansas-Oklahoma.
Erected as an Old School Synod in 1852 by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A.; joined the Presbyterian Church in the Confederate States of America in 1861; continued by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. in 1865; merged with the Synod of Oklahoma in 1968 to form the Synod of Arkansas-Oklahoma.
