Biographical History

Joseph and Susan Peck owned 29 Washington Street, where Susan had grown up. Joseph credits her interest in the neighborhood with the decision to purchase and renovate the house across the street. It is listed as 16 Washington Street in the Buildings Register of Robert Cushman and Norm Olmsted. In 2006-7 it underwent further renovation by the Addison County Community Action Group (ACCAG) to become a home for disabled persons.

From the description of History of the house at 38 Washington St., Middlebury, ca. 1930. (Sheldon Museum Research Center). WorldCat record id: 702111453
