Henry Price (1824-1908?) spent his childhood as an inmate at the workhouse at Warminister, Wiltshire (England). He went to Bristol in 1832 and remained there until 1842, when he was sent to America under the Poor Law immigration scheme. He worked as a carpenter in Staten Island and Oswego, New York. He returned to England in 1848. He practiced his trade in Bristol until 1850 when he moved to London, settling in the Islington district where he lived for 58 years until his death in 1908. At the end of the 19th century Price assisted the Board of Trade by giving them details of his income and expenditures.
Price was an inmate of the workhouse at Warminster, Wiltshire and was sent to America under the Poor Law emigration scheme in May 1842. He returned to England in 1848. From 1850 on, Price was a cabinetmaker in Islington.
