Biographical History

Lutheran church services were initiated in Glasgow in 1904 and served by circuit pastors until 1910 when the church was organized as the Scandinavian Evangelical Lutheran Synod Church of Glasgow. The church was completed in 1923. In 1937 Highland Lutheran merged with the Glasgow congregation, and two years later the Highland Church was moved and attached to the Glasgow church. A new parsonage was built in 1954. An educational unit was begun in 1960. In August of 1974, a fire damaged the church and educational unit, and a month later the congregation decided to build a worship center. The new sanctuary and lower fellowship hall were dedicated January 16, 1977.
