Biography

George I. Brown, emeritus professor of education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, founded the confluent education program at that campus. Brown, also trained as a Gestalt therapist, is known for applying the humanistic psychology model to organizations. In addition to UCSB, Brown has taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the Universities of New Hampshire, Delaware, and Oslo, Norway. His books include Human Teaching for Human Learning: An Introduction to Confluent Education and The Neurotic Behavior of Organizations .
